Live concerts

Silent Concert: headphone concerts and wireless systems for live music

The audience hears the concert directly through headphones, with mixing-board quality and their own volume. No PA system, no noise limits: music can reach museums, historic sites, natural settings, and places where a traditional concert could never happen.

Since 2014, we’ve been developing systems for musicians and promoters: from audience headphones to receivers for the click and monitor mixes of hundreds of musicians.

Headphone concerts for the audience

Sound goes from the mixer straight to the headphones: detail, dynamics, and personal volume for every audience member, even late at night or in quiet settings.

Concerts in unconventional venues

Museums, archaeological sites, gardens, rooftops, and mountaintop venues: with Yamaha Silent Experience, the piano goes where amplification isn’t possible.

Click and monitors for musicians

For Rockin’1000, we distribute click tracks and cue signals via RF to headphones and receivers worn by a thousand musicians, divided into coverage zones.

Festivals and audiovisual installations

Each performance or installation has its own audio channel: the audience moves through the space from one sound experience to the next.

How it works

From the stage to the headphones in three steps

01

The mixer

The mixer or instrument output feeds into the transmitter. Multiple channels for multiple mixes, stages, or languages.

02

The RF transmitter

The signal travels via radio frequency across the entire concert area, with no cables and no line of sight needed, even over large areas.

03

Headphones and receivers

The audience listens through headphones and adjusts the volume; musicians receive click and monitor mixes on dedicated receivers.

Why a silent concert

A more intimate listening experience, anywhere

  • Studio quality: the audience hears the original mix, with no room reverb or sound loss.
  • No noise limits: late-night concerts, protected areas, historic downtowns, and sensitive venues.
  • Personal volume: everyone sets the level they prefer.
  • Audiences on the move: listeners can move around the space and keep listening.
  • Immersive experience: fewer distractions, a deeper connection between artist and listener.
Case study

Artists and projects that chose silence

From Rockin’1000, where we sync a thousand musicians with a click track in their headphones, to Yamaha Silent Experience, which brings the piano to places no traditional concert could reach, to jazz festivals, recording studios, and concerts in one-of-a-kind venues.
